Today’s question is, “Is a Yellow Page or a phone book company website good enough?”

I’m sure you’ve had the Yellow Page guy or the phone book guy call you and want to get an ad for you in the phone book. Stop it with the phone book ads, it’s over, it’s done. They’ve moved on. But anyway, they may call you and say hey, we’ll throw in a free website if you pay us a certain amount of money and we’ll get you ranked on the website and on and on.

I guess having a yellow page or phone book website is better than nothing, maybe. But there might be some situation that actually could hurt your business because people can tell that you haven’t put a lot of effort into it. It’s full of stock photos and full of generic information.

And so look at some other options. Consider doing it yourself or some of the more cheaper options of getting a website or you can call me. I can help you with a website.
